Philadelphia:
The birthplace of the "United States of America."
Valley Forge National Park:
Astoundingly significant location in US history, but when you get right down to it, nothing happened there. Washington's army hung out, and then wandered up to Trenton. It's an astonishingly large space of fairly virgin land (considering it's proximity to overdeveloped areas), and you can wander anywhere.

In NJ:
The Clinton Mill is one of the most oft-photographed sites in the country.
Pineys.
Everything you can read about in Weird New Jersey
The natural home of cranberries.

Just a few things off the top of my head, I guess.

My favorite parts of NorCal: vineyards, hills, mountains, clean air (my portion of the half-state), used to have MarineWorld, which was cool pre-roller coasters. Oak trees, coastline, redwoods. Tahoe.

HotChic, you must have loved Marine World to have pulled that out of so distant a past. I used to have an annual pass and spent lots ot time playing around in there. You could her the lions roar miles away in the subburbs, they say. It would be really cool to sit on your front porch and listen to lions, kind of like stirring up dim impressions of the chimp inside.

Home of the original cool kat, ol' Blue-Eyes himself... & a man called the Boss... and the only other real place to gamble at casinos on the East Coast...
We also grow the tastiest, meatiest, sweetest beefsteak tomatoes in the world :):):)

I'm surprised the Illinois booster didn't mention that they have the best sweet corn in the world and Chicago-style pizza. Food... yum. :D

EDIT: I forgot to mention... our hot chicks will beat up your hot chicks anyday :p

Hmmm...Huntsville is one of the major places responsible for most of the pre-Shuttle space program, Patriot Missle System, and upcoming National Ballistic Missle Defense System.

And we also have the world's only standing, full-size replica of a Saturn V rocket (It's freaking HUGE!).

Seattle, WA... birthplace of Grunge, Starbucks and Microsoft...UW - best school on the west coast, with the possible exception of Berkeley, USC, and UCSB (first two I wanted to go to, but not enough money... third...well, they just got honeys).

Home of the never-ended overcast skies. gopunk and linuxboy, help me out.
