ive been wondering whats so great about it... or not so great... i got it way back in april/may and never really heard about anything great about it untill my friend started saying that aparently winchesters are the king poo at oc'ing....

NOW...
i have a 3000+ Winchester and it started at 1.8 and now its a 2.4 all on air... i think i could go way higher since ive only increased load temps about 8*F, im not saying this is a wimpy oc, it is FAR from that since my old 1.8GHz AhtlonXP would hardley do 2.0 on air.... but how much farther should i be able to get this one...

33% increase is pretty good. Keep pushing it as long as your maximum load temps dont hit 65C.

your friend is feeding you poo, imho

Winnies are crap clockers compared to E3 Venice, some San Diegos and a whole bunch of Toledo/Manchester cores and pretty much all Venus cores.

there were some really good Winchesters, don't get me wrong, but not like Venice and later chips, but Winnies on the whole were much better than E6 Venice, FWTW.

I have Venice 3000+ and run 24/7 @ 2700mhz at 1.53v, and it's stable to just over 2.8ghz but volts are a tad too high. 60% overclock = not too shabby
