Whats RAMBUS do nowadays??

Surely they havent sold a stick since the socket 423 days, or at least not that many, as most would rather have a new rig than upgrade their 423 thing with more ram. Do they have another source of revenue? Or is RAMBUS memory used in other things like ipods and stuff... ?

THe majority of their revenue does, in fact, come from litigation. Look up the info on their website.

Of course, this isn't to say that they aren't a financially successful and viable company.

I was helping a client who had a Dell that used RAMBUS. They needed to upgrade the RAM and it was over $400 for 1GB.

This was two weeks ago.

Just buy a new system...

afaik, they make patents without product, then sue the sh1t out of anybody that builds something similar to one of their patents.
