PC4200 runs at 266MHz which isn't exactly half of 4200 / 8, but memory tends to run at a multiple of 33. It's probably technically PC4264.

k thx for the info. One last thing is it best to run say 2.5-3-3-6 and 200FSB or 2.5-4-4-7 and 266FSB? Or something like 240FSB and 2.5-3-3 7? Which would be the better choice performance wise? Or does it even out?

Sorry just trying to learn a few things here.

latency and bandwidth both affect performance, but in most cases, higher bandwidth will overpower the same ram with tightened latency at stock speeds. check anandtech's recent reviews of high speed 2GB kits. so running 266MHz will definately perform better than 200MHz and if the CAS latency (2.5) is the same, you shouldn't be losing much to latency anyway.
