I'd make it Fascist

JK, I would adopt something like China's exam system for the government workers from the Song & Ming dynastys

if you make it that hard no one would qualify, unless of course you offer a ridiculous salary. Back then the government positions you tested for basically set you up for life so there was a lot more motivation to do well.

My point, but you would have smart workers

um.. without a big salary incentive no one would bother. i dont think the government can support a 100K + salary for all government workers

It wouldn't need to be that high. Just offer forgiveness of loans. Yeah, probably not the best idea, but there are too many people free loading with government jobs.

reform of heath care...
It seems pretty stupid to think that schools should be public entities but healthcare should lie within the private sector. Recent example: flu vaccine. Other countries aren't having a shortage.... just us. We're leaving public health decisions up to the free-market... There's not a huge profit to be made from vaccines... so...

Not that big of a deal if there aren't that many to begin with.

No instead thousands of people die from lack of air conditioning.

We should privatize the school system as well.

The federal gov't needs to balance the freakin' budget. To continually run deficits, except in times of national crisis, is flat-out wrong.

Limit the terms for the senate. Some of these older senators ex. Robert Byrd want the country to be how it was 30yrs ago.

Lock the border down with the Military, fine buisness huge ammounts for hireing illegals, and deport all existing 13 million illegal immigrants in this country.

Ok, here's my essay...while writing the second paragraph, i got pissed off so it kind of sounds really biased 😛:

Something I would reform in today?s government and society is healthcare. If schools are governmentally run, then why isn?t healthcare? This year, we had a vast shortage of flu vaccines. Because healthcare is a private entity here, we were the only country with such a shortage. We?re leaving public healthcare decisions up to the free market. Even thought America is all about free market, there isn?t even a huge profit there to make from vaccines, so I think that healthcare decisions should be for the most part, (if not completely) up to the government, rather than free market.
Another thing I would change is the judicial system. I think that Americans are allowed to sue anybody too easily. Suing someone in court should not be as easy as if you pricked your finger on a tooth-pick, you sue the tooth-pick manufacturer. In that sense, Americans have no responsibility for their own actions. Court cases have been made for the most ridiculous reasons, and the plaintiffs have won for the most part. I believe that this system which they say has to completely follow the books is ridiculous, and someone has to change those books. If many of those stupid and pointless court cases were simply turned down, then the government would not be in such deficit of funds. These lawyers are getting paid to dispute cases where people are careless enough to spill their freshly brewed hot coffee on themselves, and then go on complaining and suing everybody claiming the coffee was hot. News flash: It?s coffee; Fresh coffee is hot unless it?s iced coffee.

I think that states that weren't part of the original 13 colonies shouldn't be allowed congressional representation 😉

I would add a 3rd House (house of commons?). 1 person from each state would be elected for a total of 50 officials. This house is responsible for budget control, taxes, salaries for other congressmen, etc. Anything having to do with money. They would have no power over any other legislation. Also the Vice President becomes the Speaker of the House of Commons (and that will be his/her primary duty).

Read T R Reid's book, the United States of Europe. Ity's not bad for an American. And read the Soong Dynasty. Then you can see why the US is the way it is. Do a report on Europe's success of truly uniting its countries and why it is approaching a true united front.
