What's one interesting thing about yourself that most other people don't know?

Stupid question. If most other people don't know why the hell would I tell an interviewer?

"Uh, well there was that hitchhiker I picked up outside Kalamzoo in '87. But really, that wasn't my fault."

That the pit in my basement is full of bones. I don't tell them they are human bones because I don't want to sound creepy.

Nothing. I am extremely uninteresting.

I said this during college orientation. My mentor/tutor/person grabbed my collar and started manically shaking me, saying "you're very interesting! There's nothing uninteresting about you! Don't you ever let me hear you say that again!"

True story.

See now you have that story to tell. And that's an interesting thing about you. 😀

I think I've said this in an older, similar thread before, but I've had lunch with Stephen Root, bowled with George Clooney, and thrown a football around with Renee Zellweger.

two things come to mind.

1. that i have asthma. most people are surprised when i tell them i have asthma because i'm in pretty good shape.

2. that i was hit by a car and dragged 100ft by my head on my 4th birthday, broke my femur, and was flown to childrens hospital in a helicopter. then while in the hospital nancy reagan came to visit all of the kids and i was the only kid who wouldn't go see her out in the main room. so she personally came into my hospital room to meet me. they wrote an article about that incident in the washington post and my mom still has the article.

How odd. Did you say anything in response?

If Aaron Schock (R-IL) ever goes on to be president, I can say I greeted the President at my door in nothing more than a sweaty pair basketball shorts.

😀

When he was running for a local office he came around our neighbood door-to-door and spent about 10-15 minutes with each of us asking us about things and introducing himself.

I just got back from playing basketball and was getting ready to take a shower and answered the door when it rang with no shirt or shoes on.
