What's on the horizon for 120hz LED backlit monitors?

I am shopping around for the components that I want for my new system, and I think I've decided on getting the Asus VG236HE. I like the pricing for it, the 120hz display, and the feedback for the color range. I intend to use it primarily for gaming.

However I love good color and contrast representation, and reading about 120hz LED backlit monitors has me excited, but it looks like these features in the same monitor are found few and far between. I had read about the Samsung SA950, but then I saw the pictures of it. I'm not sold on the asymmetric design, and I'm not aware of the price ranges they will be asking for it, but of the SA line I think it's the only monitor with a DVI hookup and 120hz refresh.

As far as what will be coming out I also saw the Asus VG278H, but I have no idea when it will be available. Does anyone else have an idea when we could see the new Asus or some other monitors that would be great gaming monitors?

I actually had a Mitsubishi TV from the 80's that had sweet built in speakers. I guess the chances of that happening with a flat panel is slim though huh lol.

I'm pretty sure that monitor merely has 120 fps frame doubling for TV, it's not real 120 hz.

As for LED-backlit 120hz monitors, there is only one that I know of, the BenQ XL2410T.

It appears that the DiamondCrysta RDT233WX-Z is not a 3D monitor, so the 120hz is the filled refresh rate. That's disappointing, only because I have a strong feeling that it will happen, I just wish they were coming out sooner.
