By the way, I think if this sting goes down right it's going to make the news. I mean c'mon, guy steals car, sell parts on eBay, owner finds parts and tracks the asshat down. That's something with national appeal. Wired will love it. Hell, CNN will love it. Not to mention that it'll become the stuff of legend at the local PD. "Yeah, well once I arrested a guy so stupid he sold parts of a stolen car on eBay to the car's owner."

😀

This cannot be the first time this has happened. Well, maybe a stolen car.. yes... but caught on eBay after something has been stolen... no.

Darn... I thought there *was* an update.. I can't wait to hear what happens!

But trying ot sell the guy's own stuff back to him? And something he installed and modified himself? That's sort of like stealing a painting and then selling it back to the artist. 😛

I think the police might have told him the VIN numbers don't match and that it wasn't his car but that is just an idea. Since NotFred hasn't posted in a while. Or....NotFred could be knee deep in paperwork at the Police Station in an attempt to procecute this guy/or gal and get his car back. Or..NotFred might have hurt himself and landed in the hospital. Who knows.
