I currently have the puter in my sig...

512MB PC 2100 DDR Kingston
8500 Radeon 64 MB
30 GB 7200 Diamond Max
2x60GB IBM 7200 120 GXP in Raid 0
A7v266-e Mobo
300Watt HEC PSU
12x10x32 Creative
DVD
12x8x32 aOpen
17" Viewsonic .23Dpi
Intellipoint 5 button Optical Mouse
MS Keyboard


I dunno where to go from here, new system? Would upgrading to a 2100+, or even 2000+ give me a noticable difference?

That's still a pretty fast system. I'd wait for the Athlon64 to come out... In the mean time you could mess around with overclocking if you want more speed. :)

i have a xp 1700+ and i'm waiting till prescott or hammer comes out

Might have to just overclock it some.....hmmm everytime I hear Athlon64, I think Nintendo 64....wierd...

Just got the 8500 about 4 months ago, had a GeForce 2mx400, which was fine, but the 8500 is fine for BF, MOHAA, 2k3, so I can't really justify upgrading it, besides I would like to wait about 4-6months and get a 9700. I guess I'm stuck waiting for the paper release of the HAMMER. lol

If it were me, I'd get a nice flat 19" monitor, maybe 21". You can keep the 17" to run dual monitors too.
