What's my issue?

3.2GHz Prescott overclocked to 4.12. XFX 7950 something or other video card, 2 gigs of PC4200 RAM all on an ASUS P5GD2-X motherboard...and my MAX fps on the Crysis demo was like 10!!!!! I couldn't even attempt to play it 🙁

What do I upgrade first? I KNOW that I need a better/faster CPU in the future, but shouldn't 4.12GHz be fast enough?

So new ________? My vote would be for a better video card like an 8800 whatever, but don't wanna break the bank.

Video card would be a good start. I recommend the 8800GT or if you can wait, see how the performance on the new 8800GTS is. Other than that, a new CPU would be very wise, dual or quad core for sure.

LOL, I just read the title of this thread, and thought it was a new game show 🙂 Anyway...I agree and am sorry to all for such a stupid thread, when all along I knew the answer.

I really have to wonder though how "soon" I need to upgrade my CPU and mobo. Which of course will mean new/faster memory as well.
