what's MX?

i don't have a very thorough understanding of it, but it has something to do with mail... i think you specify the mail servers with it.

i'm talking about MX as to DNS.

i understand what dns' are... but... what' the heck is mx?

Mail exchanger (record) i think.

It sets up the mail exchange for when you use your domain for email purposes. Like which mail server receives email for your domain. For example for my domain bastula.org - my mail exchange record is set to mail.bastula.org (my server which handles all my email).
