Living in Seattle....considering 99.9999% of the people here do go to starbucks/other coffee shops....whatever
 
I'll eat it, I'll drink it, I like it, but I'll never understand the obsession with it one way or the other.

I'd much prefer a hot meal. That said, they've got a lot of tasty stuff.
 
I would get Frappichinos more often if they were not so damn expensive. Sonic's got a Java Chiller that is damn good but it's almost 3 bucks, so i don't get either very often.

Agreed. I hate Starbucks because their coffee sucks, not because it's trendy.
 
I've always hated starbucks...since they opened. I will have their coffee if there is nothing else around (i.e. on a trip or something) but otherwise I'd rather not go there.

I just don't like their coffee. They do have some tasty scones though.
 
Well I don't drink coffee, and I think it is a waste of money to go to Starbucks. Does that make me trendy? People always look at me like I'm crazy because I get up at 4:30am and don't drink coffee. There are even two women at my work who have declared a mission that they will get me to drink coffee eventually.
 
There's a SB on every corner in nyc, so not sure where the suburbanite thing comes in. What's dumb is people going to or from the gym in workout clothes but stopping by and getting a 550 calorie coffee drink.
 
fact: starbucks coffee sucks ass. it does not taste good, is usually burnt and better coffee can be had at home. to top it all off they make you pay dearly for it. $5 for coffee that taste like 3 day old moldy diarrhea...no thanks

i don't particularly like any other coffee shops, aside from the cheap ones. they usually taste better too. but, why people pay premium for coffee they can make quicker at home is beyond me.

The local coffee shop/breakfast deli chargets $1.50 for a coffee. SB charges $1.82 for about the same size. As to the worth of characterizing your opinion regarding poor taste/flavor as a fact, I'll let the sales speak for themselves.
