I agree with the .454 Casull. That round is used to hunt bears and other big animals.
Lets not forget the 10MM though.
It has fallen into obscurity but was super popular in the 80's.
When Don Johnson was on Miami Vice he used the Colt Delta Elite 10MM.
A whole lotta punch for small round.

Yes, the Desert Eagle comes in a 50 calibur model. Not sure if any of you have ever shot it, but it is like having your own personal cannon. Very heavy, very loud and very impractical but very impressive looking.

popular science, like 4 years ago...

they had a 4 pager on Seal equipment; their guns, the "raft", night vision, etc

well, they had breakdown of guns (jus like rogue spear), MP5, shotgun, etc etc and sniper gun

well, it was quoted from a SEAL instructor about the .50 caliber sniper gun, said had a whistling noise...

true, it goes faster than speed of sound, but hey, that is wat the instructor said...

again, he said "u know when ur getting shot by this sniper gun"

well, i jus remember that article well enuf to kinda recite it back after 4-5 yrs

While the .50 caliber sniper rifles are certainly effective for killing personnel, they are intended to be used for destroying "soft" targets like radar installations, helicopters, and other unarmored structural targets.

Sgt. Carlos Hathcock ("Marine sniper") used a modified Browning M2 .50 machinegun with a scope to snipe in Vietnam. It was fascinating to hear him talk about it.

BTW, the "rechambered AK-47" in 5.45mm is referred to as the AK-74.

it makes a whistling sound if you dont get hit, i'm assuming. I am sure they have fired them at practice ranges, and have heard the bullets.
