I split this cup of drained sunflower oil from tuna fish cans that was lying around all over the carpet, ive wiped up what i could but it still stinks.

I poured febreeze from the bottle onto the carpet and it hasent really overpowered it. How can i get rid of the smell?

Get a skunk and have it spray on that part of the carpet, it'll definitely overpower whatever was there before

You need detergent.

Whats detergent?

Washing up liquid? I got some handwash and some fairy liquid downstairs is that worth a try?

We have that! Its powder though, what am i gonna do with powder? It probably wont mix well with the carpet. Will it get rid of the smell or stop it from spreading if i just pour the powder on top of the affected carpet bits?

You don't even deserve anymore help. You fail at life.

try rubbing a dead body on it. that should overpower just about any smell... well except other dead bodies.

When was the last time the carpets were professionally cleaned? Maybe it's time for you to get it done by someone who knows how to do it right.

Im a student, im not hiring a professional carpet cleaner! lol.

In fact scratch scrubbing, im gonna leave it to dry and see what happens, then if it still smells ill scrub it with my earlier combination, if all else fails ill just put items on top of it, its 3 coke can sized blobs so some buckets or whatever i can find may do the trick.

Try lighting a candle and when you have enough melted wax, pour in on top of the blobs. That should seal in the smell.

ETA - Use wax that is the same color as your carpet.
