Meiosis is the division of a diploid cell into four haploid cells (gametes) used for sexual reproduction.

Mitosis is the division of a cell into two genetically identical halves.
 
im going to use cell fusion. its easy to understand. I was looking for amore technical term, but fvck it. Well, not literally...... =)
