Whats in your backyard? I was amazed at how pretty it was today.

100's of birds, lots of apple trees, deer, wild turkeys, etc.

Nice! How big is the property?

18 acres. Beyond that is Hanging Bog Wildlife Management Area with 4571 acres; connected to that is 1154 acres of Crabb Hollow State Forest, and also connected is 1404 acres of Rush Creek State Forest. If I go for a long walk, it's amazing to even hear someone else, let alone run into someone out there.

dandelions. Since our city and province has banned herbicide use in residential properties, the lawn has been taken over...

That was this morning. It's melted now.

I just want ONE nice day, just ONE!!! Come on! Oh wait, we did have a nice day, Monday. Was +15C and I was even able to take my shirt off. So today, we paid for it.

My god. No veggie garden for you, eh? GAH.

Some people grow tomatoes... indoors. 😛

HERE is a picture of my backyard taken last week.

I have some others I can dig up of the nice creek bordering the yard, way back and on one side. That big tree in the middle is an apple tree, further down there are a few more. There is some kind of bean tree and a Walnut tree too.

On the far left side of the pic, you can see the picnic table and BBQ pit, about 15 feet from the creek. 🙂

Wow, foxes traversing your yard, how cool is that? All you need now is some horses and some hounds.

Those poor birds are awfully close to that wire. We had some born in one of our trees. Noisy little things. 🙂

Your trees make mine look like toothpics! That reminds me of the pine tree forrests I used to see around Fort Benning, Georgia. I spent some time around there and Columbus in 1990.

While living in a large city does have its advantages, sometimes theres nothing like a little house on the prairie. It would be nice to spend lots of time outdoors there.

Very nice looking pictures in this thread! I love going outside with either some tea or a cold cup of water and a sandwich and just watching nature. After my 10am meeting Wednesday, thats what Ill be doing for lunch. 😉

Got a whole family of foxes that live along the creek somewhere. I think they burrowed under that shed too as they are around the shed often, there's a pretty big hole under there and my dog is extra interested in that area.

Here's a shot of the front yard.

Foxes = awesome.

do what you can to keep those suckers around. they are becoming scarce these days...

🙁
