... And why don't you just buy it now?

I've got about a dozen books in mine, but I need to finish reading the ones I got already.

This USB charger.

Ended up buying it this morning. It's been on my "saved for later..." forever now. I think it will be a godsend for a trip this weekend. (3 phones + 1 Tablet will need to be charged.)
Hopefully it doesn't end up being a piece of junk.

I have like 500 items on my wishlist. I would be dead broke if I bought all that shit right now.

I don't like to impulse buy so if I put an item in my wishlist and still want it down the road I know I won't regret the purchase. I don't like clutter in my place so I'd rather not have any junk that I won't actually use.

Whenever I get a new credit card with a spend requirement for a signup bonus I clear through alot of the wishlist.

I throw stuff in the wishlist while I'm "shopping," so I don't forget what it was...then rarely go back for it. I clean it out periodically.

The wife and I use it for things we want but, probably won't buy for ourselves. It's a great resource for gift giving.

I tend to build up an order of several items, and pull the trigger.
I change my mind quite frequently.
I just deleted a media receiver that I thought about getting when my factory stereo locked me out. After a few days it decided to "recognize" my car again.

also:

wish list will track price changes. So you might not buy NOW, but maybe in 4 months when the price is -30% from when you added it to the wishlist...

Some gadgets I can't justify buying even though they're cheap (I'll get drunk and buy them then so I have an excuse), some books I don't have time to read, and a few odds and ends (kitchen gadgets, housewares, office supplies, etc.) that I'm waiting for the price to drop on.

Also, gift ideas for friends and family that I don't need to buy until Christmas/Birthdays.

Cuisinart ICE-100 ice cream maker:

I'm borrowing a friend's for a few weeks to try out, since it's a pretty hefty investment for a kitchen appliance that only makes frozen desserts & nothing else. I can't have dairy, so I've been trying a lot of "vegan" ice cream recipes. I'm actually pretty shocked at how well they've been coming out using coconut milk from a can. This unit in particular is nice because you don't have to remember to freeze the bowl the night before you want to use it (which also takes up precious freezer space), since it has a built-in chiller. But it adds $200 to the cost of your typical $50 ice cream machine. So that's why it's on the list ;)

Mine is stuff I can't really justify buying right now, but interests me. Lots of frivolous toys. Makes a great list to hand out around Christmas though.

I use it mine for stuff i want but want to wait to get. Video games are pretty common. Ill put in the new 60 dollar game and wait for it to drop to 20-30 before buying it. Then i have stuff i want but can wait to get like oil filters for lawn mower and cars.

Mainly books I want to check out from their lending library. Most of the book they have available are crap so when I come across something decent I throw it on my wish list.

books and video games... things that I'd enjoy owning, but nothing I necessarily want any time soon.

I'm a pain in the ass to shop for, generally, so I like to keep a wide array of stuff on my wishlist for when friends/family need to scramble for a gift for me for whatever occasion.

I have this machine. It is amazing. The Breville is supposed to be better, but I've had no issues with this one at all. I got mine at Amazon for $220 after instant coupon.

And mostly cookbooks in mine. Haven't bought as I don't have room for another bookcase at the moment. Y'all be free to buy ;)

I'd like one of the 84" 4K TVs, but there's no way in hell I can justify the cost yet.
