5 bottles of water, some cliff bars, a few guns, and all the bullets I can carry. I'll pillage the supplies I need or die trying.

Schneiderguy--I trade him as a slave for provisions and/or a woman, and get to keep his guns.

If all goes as planned, our "survival kit" will include our house and property.

~1hr from town, 10+ acres with a creek. That's our criteria. Walls, doors and windows a bonus. :p

I plan on being off the grid within 5 years of home ownership, hopefully much sooner. If the shit hits the fan in the next 5-30 years, we'll be ready.

Dammit, I came to post in here that I'd take my AR and however much ammo I could carry.

But apparently that was your plan all along. Damn you zinfamous D:

A lot more firepower, that way I could take the crap like sleeping bags and water purification tablets from the easily killed.

What kind of scenario are we talking about here?

- The "oh shit everyone else is out to get me/zombies" deal
- The "oh shit I'm stuck in an island/castaway" deal
- The "oh shit I'm all alone in a city" deal
- The "oh shit civilization's crumbled but everyone is alive" deal

I'd also ask if you'd be alone or be w/ your family, etc.
Even the Madmax scenario - would I be the loner who wanders about aimlessly or one of the denizens of Bartertown?

Assume that you are not alone and that you may have to deal with hostiles such as the posters above, but not zombies/aliens/vampires. You may wander or make base camp as you see fit.

This. In a "Why delay the inevitable" type sitaution, the obligatory "hookers & blow" response might actually be warranted.

Don't forget a copy of wikipedia and that huge file with everything it would take to rebuild a civilization (the technology, can't remember the name of the project).

Which is good for about 4-9hrs of battery life. Does "end of civilization" not also include the loss of power?

Hmm given that all of my meds would run out fairly quickly, asthma would make real hunting just about impossible, not even counting the other stuff...
Plant seeds(the ones that actually produce usable seeds at maturity) tons of them that would be appropriate for the area. And maybe a few small farm animals just weened.
Hmm a fire starter would be good to, though in truth if you do it right you only really need to use it once.
This on the assumption there are other people I was in a group with.

A way to produce high grain alcohol would be nice well. Without antiseptics you will most likely not live very long given how use you have been to having them. That small cut you now would never think about could kill you.

Basically would need multiple people pooling their allotment.

Some type of weapon, although unless there were materials for making more powder would eventually become useless... but yeah.

/cheating. though 15-20 pounds of each might be doable for the large ones.. with a pound or two left for fire starting.

had to look up mission craze. holy fancy.
why do u prefer it?

and i would add a rugar 10/22 rifle. uses same ammo as the Walther P22. (and why the P22? they're picky about the ammo, else it jams.)

edit:
whats a Cordless Multitool ?

also, why paracord instead of some other rope?
