What's in a name? Apparently more than I thought.

I am an indepentdent investment advisor and I have recently hired a firm to handle the marketing for my company as I am changing directions in terms of the people I want to manage money for.

The name I use now isn't as good as I thought it was when I started, so I've decided to change it. Unfortunately I'm not creative at all, so I was hoping the AT crew could help me out a bit. :)

The target market is age 60+, high net worth & small businesses. I'm looking for a classy name, not a trendy name. Preferably a simple to spell name, so the URL is easy to type in for the older folks.

The name will be: Name Wealth Management

Ideas I've come up with so far:

Peak
Platinum (overused these days?)
Onyx
Eagle (I'm an Eagle Scout so a bit of play on that perhaps.)
Signature
Total
World (meh)
Golden
Secure
Capital
American

All non-trollish suggestions are greatly appreciated. :)

While I'm not going to put a ton of thought into this, I will say my opinion of your ideas for names are all incredibly generic. They describe nothing about you or your business. I presume your clients are all local, so maybe use your last name (if it's not horrific for a business name, like my last name), or the geographical area you serve?

what's in a name?

hmmm, google? who would have thought that would succeed?

Yahoo?

amazon? WTF does this have to do with books? other than printing books destroys the rain forest of the amazon.

Cisco? WTF is a cisco?

etc etc.

i think time spent on picking a name is overrated.

You might have to make up a word a la Lucent, Cingular, Verizon as most common words have already been trademarked.

I can't use my last name because it is not spelled as it pernounced. So it is possible that someone typing my last name into their web browser would get confused and give up.

Yes, they are generic, but like I said I'm not too creative.

Do you have only local clients? What about using the name of your city or area? That's something that you know they could spell, even if it's not that short.

Yes, I have local clients and a local name now.

I thought about that, however I will be marketing to two distinct localities; one on the coast and one inland not associated with the coast. I spoke to the marketing company about using two names and they said their systems are setup to handle that since I'm the first to inquire about it.
