I can talk finely, everything else about me is normal..except when I swallow it feels like swords going down my throat. It's killing me here =/

I've tried gargling with listerine, which normally helps it, but this time no such luck..

It's actually been hurting since Saturday morning. Friday night I went to a bar, had a few drinks..nothing crazy, went to sleep pain free..but once I woke up it was painful..

agree with the first...warm salt water, just gargle it...if you're actually sick airborne is supposed to be decent

Get This

The burn on your tongue will linger for a while, but it's not unpleasant. Not recommended for children!

It numbs your throat.

Yo can also use to make hot-shots if you mix it with vodka and let it soak for some days.

I usually try to eat something very cold, like a fudgecicle or icecream.

Cepacol cough drops are the best. They are the only ones which really work and numb your whole throat. I use them when I get cancor sores and I can't feel any problem. Hope it helps you.

1) A sore throat implies infection meaning bacteria got in. Try rinsing your mouth with listerine first. Gargle I mean + rinse. I even swallow a drop or two just to get it down there. You feel instantly better because listerine kills fast.
2) Vitamin C. Take a 250mb tablet at least.
3) If it's REALLY bad, you should get it checked by the doctor for strep. I hate the test though.
4) If you have antibiotics.... My doctor gave me 10 days worth of Cipro (generic antibiotic) for a trip to China just in case I ate something bad. I just found that in my cabinet and took like 2 days worth. It slaughters the infection instantly. BTW, this is the drug they prescribed to fight anthrax =).
5) Sprays work to numb your throat. Also Tylenol Sore Throat if its bad. I had a really bad case once for like 5 days and I went to this and it just numbed me out while my body fought the infection.

True, but I try not to eat them that often if I don't have a sore throat. It's just a good excuse to eat a lot of them! :D
