Trump has made a ton of promises.

*Secure the border
*Rebuild Infrastructure
*Deport illegal immigrants
-Or, at least the 2m plus criminals
*Build up our military
*Bring back jobs
*Build up the middle class w/tax breaks
*He's not touching Medicare and SS
*35% tariffs across the board

So, how is Trump going to accomplish even 1/10th of these promises without cutting expenses?

I know he's talked about slashing college loans. Medicade is on the chopping block. IMO, if you've been getting public assistance you should be very scared. Which is good. I liked Obama but one of the things I didn't like about his administration is he created people who have become dependent on the government for handouts. Well, with a Republican House and Senate the good times are coming to an end. That's a good thing.

I would hope that they tackle this mentality that if you work for the government for 20 years you get a pension and health benefits for life. This is how countries go bankrupt. It's ridiculous that a 45 year old who can work for another 20 years retires and lives off taxpayers. That needs to end or at least extend the time to 30 years.

Where in the federal government do you see a deal like this, other than the military?

Cutting corporate welfare will be at the top of the agenda, I'm sure.

Trickle down economics created that. Mississippi, for example, has been on welfare since long before Obama along with big parts of Appalachia. People can't live in a lot of places in this country w/o assistance because there aren't any jobs & probably won't be any, either.

Things on the chopping block:

- NASA earth science. Watching the globe warm is forbidden!
- Regulatory policing, everywhere.

Actually, when you get right down to the nitty gritty, it's the middle class and the poor that's always on the chopping block for one thing or another.

Technically speaking with fiat money there's no need to match income to expense.

Of course such a powerful took assumes responsible users, and there's no disagreement with respect to trump here.

Realistically he's going to run up the bill to shore up support in the rust belt & such, take his fee, and cut a few "liberal" programs (ie the enemy) to show strength. Typical authoritarian/fascist program.

"Fiscal conservatives" won't complain because they never were.

With the nomination of DeVos, public schools have the Sword of Damocles hanging over them.

Part of me feels like they fucking deserve it. Growing up, I had my fill of complacent, lazy ass unionized teachers who never taught me shit aside from a disdain for tenured, unionized teachers.

Education, aka access to the collective body of human knowledge, ought not ever be partisan... but here we are.

Incoherent comment given other ones evidently didn't do shit for you either.

Speaking of shit, it's generally destined for the sewer system, for normal folks. Freaks like you smear it all over their bodies and then screech to get attention.

Not a terrible convincing counterargument. Try demonstrating that anyone can force you into some semblance of an education.

You silly bint, I never struck up an argument with you in the first place. And now you're dragging the discussion down into a morass of indulgent Meta that no one cares about besides You.

You're covered in shit. I'm done here.

I'm just pointing out the flaw in your argument. Sorry the tenured unionized teachers didn't prepare you for this.

35% Tariff on imports? How's that going to work exactly? Only on certain products or on certain countries?

I absolutely agree with you and I'd even go one step further. I don't believe that creationism promoted by the religious right or evolution promoted by the far left should be taught in schools. The first requires faith (religion) and the second has no definitive proof (unproven speculation) so the curriculum should be limited to the knowledge that is provable which is supposed to be the foundation of science - study to obtain unbiased physical evidence to support a hypothesis. And just for the record I consider myself to be left of center on most things and absolutely do not feel like I am entitled to force my beliefs on people like most Christians do.

Republicans have historically felt empowered to force their radical views upon people through legislation and government intervention aka. Terri Schiavo and Roe vs. Wade when they had no business there in the first place. Jesus always taught that people have free will but the radical right has infiltrated organized religion or the modern church and uses them as a tool for their bidding. Republicans have historically not cared about the working people in this country either as evidenced by their business philosophies that required Democratic intervention at the turn of the last century to institute protections not only for the working poor but for poor and underprivileged people in general. I find it ironic that Jesus mandated that the church look after the poor and needy but the church does anything but that (there are a few exceptions out there).

In any case I reject organized religion for the very same reasons that Jesus did and if you read the word and take it at face value then you should too! How much empirical evidence does it take to see what has happened to Christianity today? The money changers have taken over and have seized control of it.

Did "they" really get screwed though? The comprehensive gallop study of trump supporter found they kept the good jobs. Seems Reagon's massive defense spending & such went to the intended places. Trickle-down hurts people at the bottom the most, that's the minorities & such who they don't particularly care for. Appears these people aren't that stupid.
