Whats going on with gas? Stations near me are sold out

9pm: price $3.81 (fairly normal), sold out of premium
10pm: price $3.92, all grades of gas sold out at 3 of 4 stations I went to

today, we cannot find a station with gas.

What is going on? I can't find anything in the news about it.
 
Price of oil went up about 17 bucks on Thursday/Friday. Everyone is buying gas before prices go up by 50 cents a gallon in the next few days.

EDIT: Which it will probably do due to demand skyrocketing because of the panic. It might as well be a run on the banks. :roll:
 
Civil unrest. We're gonna have wide spread riots in all major cities before years end. Nice knowing you all. I'm gonna shoot myself now before the zombies get to me.
 
I just went and filled the wifes minivan up awhile ago and it was 3.89 and there were only 1 or 2 cars at the islands with me.

No, it was because of price controls instituted by a clueless liberal government.

If they try it again, the same thing will happen.
 
Come Monday I bet non of you will be laughing at that family that stored Gas in the closet now! Looks like they were smarter than we thought hmm.
