Does that make you happy?

I guess your arguments of, "it doesn't matter who's doing it, just that it's bad" referring to corruption don't apply to your negativity in this thread. Does "he did it too" justify your behavior? I thought you said only "repugs" acted like this.

Partisan hack ...

You're confusing cause and effect. If I didn't react Irwin would have carried on spreading his infectious religious hatred. That's the last I'll have to say on it unless Irwin decides to reappear and vent more hatred.

Besides that, we've already tried the defensive posture and it failed us. And if the attacks of al Qaeda are all about the US occupation and their response to it, then please explain what al Qaeda and fundie Islam is doing in Thailand, the Phillipines, Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Russia, and a good number of African countries. Forsythe I hope I'm reading what you just said wrong! Or are you truly saying that the death of over 40 people *is a good thing for this world*. I really hope I'm just misintepreting your sentance and your referring to something else.

I find it odd that in London, where you can't put a backpack down for a moment without drawing attention, someone was able to plant multiple bombs and detonate them simultaneously.

I feel much safer now. Thanks George.

Why do you say that? Just because there's never been so many terror attacks by muslims in europe before, you have to put the blame on him :p (j/k)

I still have doubt whether or not it's muslims.

It appears that up to seven Underground (London's subway system) stops were targeted. Casualties galore (at least 90 reported at one station alone with two fatalities reported). This is all very preliminary but it's obviously an orchestrated attack. Some of the stops included Liverpool, Aldgate, and Kings Cross. There are reports of people still trapped in the Tube and the national morning news shows keep showing looped footage of survivors receiving assistance.

Footage has also been shown of the top of one of London's famous double-decker buses having been destroyed by an explosion.

Now, whether the attack was timed to coincide with the opening of the G8 today or whether Paris, London, Madrid, NYC, etc. were going to be hit one day after the announcement of the location of the 2012 Olympics is also unclear.

What is clear, though, is that the fvcking BS rhetoric from this admin that "America and the world are safer" is now completely and utterly without basis. Attacks like this will continue no matter what countries are invaded and no matter what sanctions are imposed upon others. There will always be a fringe element seeking to cause death and destruction.

Better security at home at ports, chemical plants, transportation hubs, trucking industry, etc. is what we need, not more bombs and bullets.

Here's an early report from CNN:

This very easily could have been in New York. America IS safer.

Fundie Islam began before the Ottoman Empire crumbled. In fact, Wahhabism came about as a reaction to the lavish excesses of the Ottomans.

Yep, because terrorism was actually invented the moment George Bush was voted into office. It NEVER occurred while, say, Bill Clinton was president.

Odd that they would move such a large force to Glen Eagles when the U.S. probably has enough monitoring equipment around Bush to identify any threat before it's ever even planned.

Bush went to Iraq. There were no terrorists in Iraq. If he went over there to "kick their &&$ after 9-11" WHY THE F*** DID HE "GO TO" IRAQ WHEN THEY WERE AND STILL ARE ALL IN AFGHNAISTAN???

And why not Saudi Arabia where most of them came from?

EXACTLY. At least our Country would not be in debt and probably we would have certain Social Security & retirement benefits to look forward to. Rather than those monies being wasted away in the Iraqi desert on some Bush testosterone thrill kick of lies.

Trust me, we are ALL paying for this worthless sham - with our money AND our lives. Bush is giving Osama exactly what he wants - the bankruptcy of America - lock, stock, morals and money.

The fundies pissed us off numerous times. 9/11 was the final straw. Too bad for them and unfortunate for those in the ME who have to suffer because of the actions of their fringe idiots.

wow... just wow...

No, we should make up lies to justify illegal unprovoked aggression that create a breeding ground for hatred.

That "breeding ground" existed long before the "unprovoked war".

Because the Saudis have very deep links in the american politics, control A LOT of the world oil markets and beeing an absolute monarchy are a somewhat stable commercial partner. Plus Mecca is in Saudi Arabia, so it is virtually inattackable without causing a global religion war...

The revindication is of course a fake. Every one who studied a little of terrorism history knows that one of the most distinctive trademarks of Al-Qaeda is that it NEVER revindicate terror attacks. No reason to change this behaviour.
