What's going on here?

So earlier today I was chewing a lot of blueberry trident, and later I had a peach, but it tasted weird. It's like my taste buds were out of wack. I think the gum is to blame. Anyone have any similar experiences?

Yup, same thing has happened to me, that's why I never eat anything one or two hours after chewing gum, also, it seems to be worse with sugar free gums.

Yeah, it's a chemical in toothpaste an gum that neutralizes your sweet taste buds.

My coffee has been tasting weird for the past few days...I want to say it's the half & half, but the best if used by date is still a month away...

Are you sure you weren't inadvertently inside of an apartment being fumigated? This can seriously hamper your sense of smell and/or taste.
