Chicken and cheese sandwich - Costco rotisserie chicken and french baguette - lunch for the week. Throw it in toaster oven for about 10 minutes, and you have a hot chicken sammich for lunch.

Odd, I just posted that in the Costco thread...
the la brea baughettes are awesome.

which thread?

and I agree on the baguettes. the rotisserie chicken is also worlds above what I could otherwise buy at Giant/Harris Teeter.

spicy chicken pad kee mao from across the street. booah!

Which restaurant?

I'm over in the south park blocks, and this one is a cart called "Thai Pasta" on 4th and Hall. It's crazy busy ever since it opened.

Also excellent is:
Baan-Thai Restaurant
(503) 224-8424
1924 Sw Broadway, Portland, OR 97201

The service is very slow during lunch hours, and the food is incredibly spicy. Order mild, even if you think you like it hot.

E-San on 2nd and Burnside (westside), which is really good. Lots of folks like Thaiphoon on Broadway by the Hilton.

I'm kind of a Thai fanatic. Which part of town are you lunching in RossMAN?

Leftovers. Saved so much money this year so far by not going out as much as I used to.

Today was some roasted chicken, a stuffed bellpepper, and a salad on the side.

I like Tom Yum a lot on Woodstock and 44th or so (by safeway). But since you're saying ghetto-land, I'm assuming that you're 82nd or further. I used to work on 99th and powell, and I don't know of any good thai food over there. Pho' Hung on 82nd between Division/Powell is awesome for pho' though. Fresh, fragrant stuff. Also Pho Van on 82nd and Division, but everybody knows about that place.

Careful guys. I got 3 years of fraternal experience. I am the king of gay jokes. You won't know what hit you. Unless it's my penis. In which case you'll probably feel my pelvic bone more than anything (damned asian genes).

unless of course, I'm TOTALLY off base here, in which case please ignore everything I just typed.

Fuck I can barely contain my laughter.
