And here I was thinking we were having a great tease.

But you know what, I wouldn't mind some product info...this could still be fun.

Just washed it there, needs oiling.

They are great. Like cast iron but the bases are polished so they get even more non stick when seasoned. They certainly pass the fried egg test with flying colours anyway.

Aldi gumbo soup(certainly Campbells Chunky), and Aldi tater tots. I don't think I ever bought tater tots til a couple months ago, and now I always have them in my freezer. I love them. I thought I'd get tired of them, but it hasn't happened yet.

Pasta alla Vongole...spaghetti with clams. Did the quick version. Sautéed some garlic in olive oil with red pepper flakes, then threw in some jarred marinara and the liquid from some canned chopped clams. Added some basil and salt/pepper. Put the clams in at the last minute then topped it with some microplaned parmesan.

Was as good as anything you'd get a good local Italian place. I can use fresh ingredients along with littleneck clams and produce a dish that is slightly better, but it's "home made." Takes a lot more time though.

Baked beans, cherries, buttered English muffin

Bowl of Cracklin' Oat Bran for dessert. Mmm, it's like cookies in milk.

Grilled cheese made with stale Italian bread and extra sharp cheddar, and a can of tomato soup. For dessert, I had a Sam Adams maple red. The beer was kind of meh, but dinner was delicious.

There was a grilled cheese thread here last year and I got the idea from reading it to add caramelized onions to my grilled cheese. Boy was that yummy! I must have made 4 grilled cheese sandwiches.

For my late lunch, I'm having some frozen trader joe's BBQ ribs. No idea what after that but I have some bread and cheese to use up, and things like trader joe's pesto pasta.

Made some grilled lime and cayenne marinated mahi mahi, roasted asparagus, and garlic pasta. Nice change after being stuck in a rut of alternating between steak and burgers on Saturday nights.

Debating between cookie dough ice cream or the mini cinnamon rolls I bought today for dessert.

Probably pasta salad and something... I'm leaning towards smoked tuna and some cheese chunks, but I'm not sure. Been wanting pasta salad for work, but it's been too hot for cooking big ass pots of water.

Dinner properly consumed. I added fingerling potatoes. Tasty little taters if I don't say so myself. If you never eaten a fingerling potato, then I highly recommended it. They go great with Italian sausage and peppers I make.

Not one of you own a smartphone with a camera?

I'm not in the business of unwarranted flamboyance. 😀

J/K The thought did come across my mind, but I just wanted to devour ma food and the hell of messing with the phone, uploading to my FTP, downloading to my laptop and then uploading to imgur. You'd think in this, the 21st century sharing images would be easier. LOL Okay, okay, I complicate the hell out of things by not using the "cloud." I run my own damn cloud.

I understand sometimes it's a pain to take pictures or everyone is so hungry the food gets devoured before you can even get out the phone. But on what's for dinner thread, you would think people would post some food porn of what they're eating. You don't have to make it look pretty. I don't bother with presentation on my food pics.
