The k6-2 will be faster for some things, slower in others, though due to the mhz difference the weaknesses of the k6-2 may be overcome by the higher mhz. In short at same mhz:
1) the k6-2 is equal to slightly superior for Integer computations
2) the P2 is superior for Floating Point computations, by approx 25%
Try to run the k6-2 at 100mhz fsb for some more performance, even if you only clock it at 450mhz(4.5x 100) it will perform better than at the default 475mhz(5x95). Overall I think the k6-2 will be more worth while to use.
