What's exciting on the Xbox horizon?

Anything worth knowing about? Honestly, the Xbox is a great system but just one game cannot make it worth buying. They need at least another killer game.

Project Ego.

I didn't buy the XBox for Halo. Sure, Halo is great. The reason I bought the XBox is project ego.

I'm drooooling over this game.

There are some other good games that will come out, such as Brute Force and Unreal Championship.

I am still waiting for Soul Caliber...once that is out I will be happy.

BTW
Hey Bulga, pass the doobie...you must be smoking some good stuff.

I agree, XBox probably will die a horrible death like the Jaguar and many Sega systems.

Sales are obviously really bad otherwise, why would they slash the price?

Sony knows this so they are doing some throat cutting on the XBOX side and trying to pressure Nintendo with the 'Cube by dropping the price of PS2.

Yep, 1.8 million to 1.2 milllion in North America.

What really matters is whats going on in Japan, thats what makes or breaks a game system.

What are sales like over there?

<---to lazy to look

WRONG

RIGHT

People seem to think that Japan is the largest and most important market for console games, they're wrong. Sure, it is a large and important market, but not the most important. North America and Europe are larger and becoming more and more important. The claim that most people make is that Japanese game developers make or break systems, this is not true anymore. If you look at what games were selling systems of Christmas you'll find that US developers pushed a lot more systems out the door than Japanese (except for GameCube). Look at current US games: Halo (Bungie, X-Box), GTA3 (Rockstar Games, PS2), EA Sports titles (all platforms) and more. Just because something does poorly in Japan doesn't mean it'll die, esp. if it can do well in the rest of the world (X-Box).

hahaha lmao, ur funny ameesh... America has bigger market...lol....

in japan, every member of the family owns a console, 50 yr olds play gba games with each other, you don't see that in america. American red necks would rather drink a beer and hunt ducks.

hmm casio would rather play gba than drink beer?...pretty lame if you ask me.

and when I am a grand parent I would much rather be tooling around in my Viper than playing any video games.

Ditto!

Consoles in Japan are like cellphones in the US.
