Suicide doors never have pillars. The whole point is to provide a large pillarless opening.
The doors themselves are reinforced. We've had these on pickup trucks for years, not to mention Saturns, Mazda RX-8 and Honda Element.

nope i love t hem too... there a good budget college or college grad car... love the xb... that style of boxy mini van's used to be popular in japan.... not sure about now.. this was about 10 years ago.... nonetheless i still lov ethe way they look.

Yeah, this must be a repost...

...but anyways, that's one concept I'll be glad to never see the light of day. I actually like the xB, and at that price point, I couldn't give a shat what you think when you pull up next to one in your broken down brown 91' camry. I want a Scion tC so bad though...

The original one looks more like a clown car. Whenever I see one on the road, I start hearing this clown music and imagine all these clowns running out from the back of the car.
