I know so many people who are getting into this right now. I find it kind of dangerous that people are seeking medical advice from someone with no training whatsoever.

I heard today about a guy who died because his "homeopathic medicine" advisor told him to put honey on his gangrenous foot wound. If he had even gone to a real doctor an hour before he died, he would have had a chance of living, and if he had gone a day before, it would have been almost certain, according to the neurologist commenting on the story.

I believe honey is good in a pinch for sealing up a small, or maybe somewhat large wound. It's a pretty old remedy, anyway. Used for centuries on the battlefield.
But anyone who advises someone else to apply it to a gangrenous wound should be shot.
