What's cool in technology then (80's) and now (2015)

There was no worse version of smart phones in the 80's. The comparison of the brick to an iPhone is terrible.

There kinda was, just not in a single device. But there aren't many things a smartphone can do that is completely "new."

A smart phone is these following 80's items rolled into a single device:
-A computer with a modem
-That brick cell phone
-1989's Gameboy
-The Walkman
-A compass
-A video camera
-A regular camera
-A pedometer
-A calculator

Today is like a combination of the 80s and 90s.

80s = all the devices
90s = the internet going mainstream
today = all the devices + the internet in one

I only know 1 person who has an actual camcorder, but I know 5 people with a GoPro.

I'm sure the numbers are like that in many social groups. For example, if you hang around skateboarders or motocross people.

They all own smartphones.
