Im getting sick of sniping some jerk who isnt even moving and shooting him like 5 times in the chest and somehow he doesnt die. Sometimes my connection is ok but sometimes it sucks. Im using AT&T U-Verse 6Mbps package. with a 50ms ping on average. Heres my speedtest results:

Whats considered "fast" for XBL? Is it worth it to upgrade to 10 or 18Mbps? they come with the same 1.5Mbps upload speed and im assuming the same ping.

Whats everybody else using and hows that workin out?

I have comcast and it works great for the most part. The 'lag' seen depends quite a bit on the game too. A poor connection will ruin me quickly in Halo 3 but CoD4 is pretty forgiving with the lag. I can have a pretty piss poor connection and have very few problems.

I play CoD on 768k DSL with no problem. I'll never be selected as host, but I always have good pings.

I've got AT&T 6mbps (non-Uverse) and I have a pretty good connection for the most part. No complaints. I've had a couple of times where connection issues have caused problems playing but those are few and far between and due to something outside of normal usage (like hardware issues on AT&T's side).

I have Verizon DSL 3Mb and I don't really lag much at all.

The only game I've seen issues on is COD4 and it's the really annoying kind of lag where what happens on my screen isn't what is reall happening in the game.

Games use very little bandwidth. What you're seeing is packet loss, delay and jitter. Even a 384 connect is good for games.
