What's considered a decent uptime for a smart phone?

I just hit 400 hours on my Droid X, and I'm hoping for ~1000 before I do a battery pull or restart for any reason. I seem to hear a lot of people complaining about Android not being stable and needing to be restarted every day (or multiple times a day). I don't seem to have the same problems...

Anyway, what's considered "good" these days?

I've never had to restart mine due to instability. If I didn't run the damn thing dead it would have a run time of a lot longer than what you listed. Between running the batter dead and constantly flashing ROM's I've never got an accurate reading.

I've only heard one person say Android is unstable, and she doesn't have an Android phone and doesn't have a very high technical knowledge either. Not sure where she got her information.

I've never really tracked my uptime on my Droid 1, but I really only reboot when changing ROMs, and the post-flash CacheMate&Fix Permissions reboot.

I'm rooted so that comes with certain instabilities. Once every few weeks it might reboot on it's own or the OS will hang and I'll have to pull the battery. Don't remember when I was stock cus I didn't stay stock for very long.

Due to freezups, random restarts, or screen glitches my Touch Pro needs to be reset about 4-5 times a day. Windows Mobile 6.1/6.5 blows.

My iTouch is a 1st gen and gets reset maybe once a month. But its not a phone so its kind of a different premise. Still gets freezes now and again.

I have to reset my iPhone 3G maybe once a month, or longer. It doesn't glitch, just starts to slow down. Google Maps especially. I think the maps app might suffer from memory leaks.

It's a good idea to restart your phone once a day. Signal issues significantly decrease when doing so. Besides that, what really is the purpose of having an uptime of 1000 hours aside from bragging rights? It's seems like a pointless goal to me. *shr8gs*

I haven't been forced to restart due to an OS hang or anything like that yet (3 mos. with an evo), but sometimes if I find myself at like 10% battery and am leaving home or work soon I'll shut it down and put it on the charger, it seems to charge a lot faster that way

With the Official 2.1 on the Dx, never had to restart. With the Unofficial 2.2 I have had some freeze up of applications and I had to battery pull once.

I haven't pulled the battery on my Touch Pro 2 for at least 6 months. I do a soft reset probalby once a month but probalby have gone 2 or 3 months at times.

My WinMo phone went 3 years. I had to change the battery. The way some of you guys think about phones makes me worry about their quality. Their uptimes are supposed to be measured in years, not months or days.

This guy speaks the truth. My old KRZR was basically never turned off, it went months upon months.

I restart my Droid every few days.

Most of it has to do with funky shit going on, nothing earth shattering or stability issues.

there is no such thing as a decent uptime for a phone.

I mess with my phone A LOT. I don't care if I have to reboot it every few days. I'm just happy when it doesn't catch on fire and try to ass rape me.

I've never had to reset my iPhone 4. However, on my iPhone 3G it would freeze up sometimes if I installed an app that was too resource intensive. You honestly, shouldn't have to reset your phone.
