Geez...I can't believe so many people are bad-mouthing college. Just plan ahead and pick the right one for you and it can be the best four years of your life thus far. But it is true that classes are MUCH harder--consider yourself warned.

I'm loving college. High school was crap for me, I was never inspired by anything, nor did I ever have the real desire to work. Senioritis hit me about halfway through freshman year. College, on the other hand, is just plain awesome. I actually enjoy working now. I respect my teachers, and they actually treat me like a real person. Good stuff.

i had a 4.1 gpa up until my senior year and then senioritis really hit... all i did was go out with my girlfriend and play CS..... i failed 3 classes that year but they were all advanced classes so it didnt really matter.... graduated with a 3.5 gpa.... only my sat score (1440) got me into UT Austin...... YOU REALLY NEED TO STUDY HERE. Alot more free time but you really need to sit down and study.... try not to join a frat if u can.

college is great, except for all the work. I'm in the computer engineering program at Penn State. The work comes in spurts, so I wont really have anything important due for like a week, followed by 3 weeks of pure hell.

But, college is exactly what you make it. I work hard 5 nights a week, and have a blast the other 2 nights.

College, in my experience is pretty awesome. It is a LOT more work and responsibility. But if you are stuck in high school and looking to be on your own, it can be both liberating and make you appreciate what you had when you lived with your folks.

College is whatever you make of it. Everyone who says college sucked is either lazy or they thought high school sucked, and they'll think their job after college sucks, too. There are people your age with your interests around you 24/7. If you can't get drunk/laid/have a good time in college, anti-depressants may be something worth checking into.

If you want to have a life and meet girls, DON'T be an engineering major. This is some f*cking hardass sh*t and your life revolves around it. I swear I f*cking eat, sleep and sh*t multivariable calculus now.

The last midterm I got back was for my computer engineering class. When I asked the professor what the average was, he said the scores were so low that he didn't bother computing an average.

You know your major is freaking insane when you start developing panic attacks after being in the program for a couple years.

heh, i'm in my 3rd year undergrad and i STILL have senioritis. College is quite the experience. I go to Cooper Union, college here is a lot different b/c we're in NYC and we're a very tiny college.

every college will be different, just keep in mind that time management is crucial. there's no one to tell you what to do and when to do it anymore. you gotta make time for all of your studying between classes and such. don't forget to make time for a good round of Super SMash Bros. Melee!

college is what you make of it.... i think some people here are alittle depressing because they didn't make the most of their college years.... its one of the few times in life where you can have freedom with out much responiblilty. You don't worry abour family, bills, food, money or a job as much as you would in the real world. Yet, you can party hardy, go to class in pajamas (can't go to work in pjs), sleep in... do whatever!! Freedom without serious responibility... enjoy it while it lasts.
