what's causing this...

I just finished building my system, and now it's half-nonfunctional. for example: sometimes it randomly reboots at startup, monitor suddenly loses signal (I heard it was because the radeon shuts down, but I don't know why it would shut down), lockups, etc. I have no idea what is causing it, and I'm getting desperate...any ideas at all would be great

system specs:
win98SE
athlon tbird 900
kt7-raid
radeon 32meg DDR
128megs crucial ram
30gb maxtor hard drive
300w amd approved power supply
plextor cd-rw, no other cards/drives are in yet

Have you checked (and double-checked) to make sure your CPU and other peripherals are seated firmly in the sockets or slots?

yep, everything's in tight. there isn't much in there anyway, so I can't figure it out
