I'm in the process of selling my old system, and getting a new one. I've never really been one to overclock, or mod my case, but I'm thinking about doing it. I'm waiting for the A7N266, now, I know some benchmarks say it's slower, and nVidia has never made a MoBo chipset, but I'm looking forward too it, besides it looks like it's gonna be good for those on a budget and a quest for a good machine.

Anyway, that isn't the point. I am wanting to put 512mb of PC-2100 RAM in, but as for the processor, I'm a bit perplexed. Should I go for a Morgan 1ghz, a T-Bird 1.44ghz, or an MP 1.2ghz??? I'm looking into o/cing and I wonder which would be the best to start off with.

1.4 Ghz is the best deal now. Duron Morgan 1 Ghz is still slow compare w/ a 1.4 Ghz. Palomino is not out yet...could be pricey. 1.4 Ghz is also good for O/Cing.

Here's a little tip. Never pre-decide on a purchase that involves a product that doesn't exist yet. Early benchmarks are useless, and companies change designs regularly. You may like ASUS and have high hopes for Nvidia's chipset, but anything can happen. ASUS has made some seriously bad boards recently, and anything can happen in the chipset wars by the time Crush is ready. Keep an open mind, and choose from existing products...
