I like listening to the audiobook while reading the book at the same time. Cause then I get to hear all the voices and stuff, and read through the book at the same time. Alright, so I'm a bored college student. Jim Dale does a great job reading the book though.

I was going to say eating your own arm, but not reading it is a good option too.

To the people who would rather eat an appendege than read a Harry Potter book: did you read one of the books and dislike it? don't like the genre? too cool to read something popular?

Just curious.

I've read Discworld and loved it, Andrew Harman stuff and think it's great.

I read a page of a Harry Potter book (didn't know that's what it was at the time) and thought it sucked. That's why I dislike it, because imo it does seem really quite poor, especially compared to some of the Discworld stories. The style of writing and the way it was done just did nothing for me.

Harry Potter is gay, that is the secret of the last book. I already talked to J. K. about it.

Apparently him and Ron Weasley get it on after they turn 18. The whole hog warts school is renamed to Hot Whores and is changed into a porn production studio. Really bad stuff if you ask me. Kids just won't understand when Harry is saying "Ohhh yah, give me that broom stick, Ron you beastly man. Give me that stick!"

Hagrid becomes the biggest porn producer in the world and Draco becomes his bitch.

Nasty really... But apparently the last HP movie is going to be rated NC17, as all the previous films made enough money to make it feasible.

What's better? Hmm, lesse. Ah, I got it:

Root canal, without anesthesia, with a hangover, while recovering from food poisoning, on a Monday morning, while it's raining outside.

That much I understand -- you at least took a minute to read a few pages of it and didn't like it. I don't understand why some people have such a strong dislike for something they haven't read. Oh well.

That's a tough one...I used to love Hardy Boys books when I was a kid. They started getting pretty ridiculous after like the 20th one though. It was sad when Chet died...I missed him and his old jalopy (even though I had no clue what a jalopy was when I was reading them).
