To the people who would rather eat an appendege than read a Harry Potter book: did you read one of the books and dislike it? don't like the genre? too cool to read something popular?
Just curious.

Maybe if you're into that whole "MILF" thing.
Would you hit it?

I've read Discworld and loved it, Andrew Harman stuff and think it's great.
I read a page of a Harry Potter book (didn't know that's what it was at the time) and thought it sucked. That's why I dislike it, because imo it does seem really quite poor, especially compared to some of the Discworld stories. The style of writing and the way it was done just did nothing for me.
That's a tough one...I used to love Hardy Boys books when I was a kid. They started getting pretty ridiculous after like the 20th one though. It was sad when Chet died...I missed him and his old jalopy (even though I had no clue what a jalopy was when I was reading them).Originally posted by: Dead Parrot Sketch
To someone who has read both,
which is better Harry Potter or the Hardy Boys ?
