I don't understand why this car is in there.

29MPG isn't too bad at all.

it's a gallery of bumper sticker hypocrisy, not a mpg contest.

But the question is how is a person who drives a car with a 29 mpg rating a hypocrit for having those bumper stickers?

it's just a stupid site. look at the rest of the "entrants," they are mostly within respectable 20+ mpg. they also have a honda with 30 mpg...

It's not really much different than the Toyota spaceship van of that same era in terms of milage. Plus if the owner only drives it a couple thousand miles a year they are using far far less than your typical civic owner that is driving 10,000+.

There's really nothing that hypocritical about it if you actually need a people/stuff hauler and can't afford a newer, more efficient car.

It's not like it's a brand new $60,000 Escalade sitting there with the same sticker.

A truck that gets 9 MPG, has over 400 Horsepower, and rides like a Cadillac! (Pics of both in my sig.)

Go to the homepage of the site. I've been there before. He makes fun of hippies and points out hypocrisy.

who cares. too many people make too much of a big deal out of vehicle mileage. I couldn't care less.

I don't quite see the irony... Sure, he drives a gas guzzler... does that mean that killing for oil should be ok? Maybe he just wants to guzzle his gas that is recovered from less violent means? Sure I can understand the irony, I just don't think it's strong enough to be that funny :p

Do all of you who wear most popular clothing (designer or otherwise) support child labor just because you bought the shirt and it was made by kids in sweatshops in China?

Gonna get something similar in a couple of months. I live only 5 mins from work, so gas won't be that big of a deal.

that's a really stupid website. what should the minivan driver do, go out and buy an all new prius that has to make 2 trips to carry the same load (not to mention all the energy used in manufacturing and recycling such a vehicle). or maybe the driver would be satisfied with higher oil prices if it meant that the oil was 'clean' in their opinion?

i'm not even sure what their beef with the 'art car' is. 'question consumption'? it's obvious that the art car person hasn't consumed a car in a while.

maybe it's done by an amish person? or a luddite?
