What's better nvidia 2 or 3?

Is the nvidia 2 the older version of nvidia 3? I've seen a lot of 2's being sold at Fry's... are the 2's more outdated than the 3's?

Thanks

as rammstein junkie said, nforce2 is for socket A, and the nforce3 is used with both sockets 754, and socket 939. The A64 uses the 754 or 939 depending on model. The socket A is what the athlon XP+sempron's below 3100+ use.

Hmmmm.... 3 is bigger than 2
This is one of those questions where you could easily go to a website and find out yourself instead of bothering us.

They are correct 3 is for socket 754 and 939 which supports the new"ish" Athlon 64's as compared to the nforce 2 which supports the Athlon XP's (which are older than the 64's)

Yes, I was considering mentioning that in my post, but, it had already turned into such a convoluted mess of info, I decided against it...considering his question, I didn't think he was going to be getting a skt940 cpu ;)...

Let's just be happy he switched from his previous style of english :).
