4GB (2x2GB sticks) Corsair Dominator DDR2-1066 CL5, does DDR2-1125 @ 5-5-5-15 2T Transaction Boost Enabled Level 1 at 2.1v on my Asus P5K Premium board, Prime95 Blend testing stable 24+ hours and not even using the memory fan!

Alright well thx for the replies..

Here has what happened over the past week or so.

I RMA'd the mobo, got a brand new one 2 hrs ago and I STILL have the same problem. I'm pretty frustrated at this point.

I have tried using my Windows XP install disk on a completely new HDD on another system just to see if that CD was causing the error and it wasn't. The install CD works fine.

So my only guess left is that the RAM is bad...both sticks apparently or the mobo and ram are just incompatible even though I've seen ppl running this same setup w/o a problem.

I tried running the RAM at 800mhz 5-5-5-15 2T 10-55-6-10 at 2.1v

WTF

I would buy those right now if they all weren't out of stock on every website :(

Seems like an incompatibility to me between your mobo & RAM.

Time to go to a local shop & pick up some other RAM to test, or look around & buy some that's known to work with that mobo.

wow...would you guys believe me if I said that I went ahead and installed Windows on that other system using the new hdd I bought for this system (thats failing) then after windows finished I unhooked the hdd and plugged it all up to this new system with the ram mobo issue and windows loaded!!

Talk about some macgyver'n just to get this thing running...:(

I have put both stick in the system and everything is running very fast clocked at 5-5-5-15 10-60-6-10 @ 2.1v or something like that.

As you could guess i'm having tons of driver issues but most are already fixed and working great. Still working on LAN drivers though, updated driver should be finishing downloading now.

I do plan on buying the Domenator Corsair ram, not to sure what i'm going to with this GSkill.. :(

Alright this is the craziest mobo i've EVER messed with...

No where have I see a mobo that DOES NOT SUPPORT an optical drive via EIDE....

Not only does it not support it, no where have I seen in the Manual or on any website that it doesn't support it...

I read somewhere where this guy had the same problem as me except with a P5B mobo or something like that (can't remember) But he went out and bought a SATA optical drive and everything worked fine.

I ran out to Best Buy this morning and picked up a decent SATA DVD burner and windows installed beautifully! :D

I'm still kinda upset that A. I've never come across that EVER B. No where does it advertise that information C. Asus tech support never mentioned it and D. You guys couldn't figure it out :p

but all and all i'm pretty staisfied with this mainboard despite the troubles I've had...I have no complaints as far as performance goes.

(Apparently the EIDE slot is only for HDD's...who knew, and also, not a single RAM problem :D)

So now i've got this

E6850 @ 3.0 (for now)
Gskill 1066mhz 2x2GB at 5-4-4-12 2.1v
Asus P5E mobo
EVGA 8800GTX
WD Raptor 150gig
2x Segate 500gig SATA
Some random Samsung SATA DVD burner lol
Windows XP x64

Athlongamer, is that 3:5? (E6800 @3.0GHz / DDR2-1066) That's great that you're doing 5-4-4-12 with 2GB sticks at such high frequency. Have you tried lowering vDIMM?

OK, going by your last bios screen, heres what I see wrong;

Ras to Ras Delay, you have "10", it should be around 3

Row Refresh Cycle Time, you have "80" It should be 52 or so.

Write Recovery Time, you have "6" try 14.

Read to Precharge Time, you have "10" try 5.

From what I see on the bios screen you linked, that should help you, as those are my Default settings, it should at least get you close.
