Is there any proof or indication that a 175 has a higher OC ability or is easier to get a higher OC with? Thats all I want to know... I just dont want to get the 170 and find out the 175 could have gone 200mhz higher or something...

Actually, wait... I remember specifically hearing in a long thread that although 165's can get to 170's.. you have a better chance with the 170

Hey I agree partly with Makubex GB,
I have a 175 Opty. The Key here is balance, grasshopper. everything you put in your rig matters. So a fast CPU and High OC with slow HD and sucky Ram gives you WTF rating from yourself.
I built my rig on the way I'm going to use it. I OC'ed the rig based on the most rock solid method I found for the entire system. I have the speed I want, I have a Rig that will last for quite some time since I'm not trying to kill it.

So my 2cents says: Balance the system with more thought.
