whats better 128mb ddr pc2600 ram or 256mb sdram?

i want to build a pc based on amd athlon
i would like to go in with the cheaper solution if 256 is better

The DDR is faster, however why not get 256MB PC2100?

yeah dewd go to www.crucial.com and get 256mb of pc2100 DDR for 27$ shipped..... its a no brainer
