whats beter

hello i have an old pentium pro system that i would like to use one of the two cards in.
Which one is beter ati 3D rage 2 pro +dvd beter than an S3 virge?
Curently i have the S3 virge in it.

Ill go out on a limb and say that the rage 2 will be the better pick. But I'm not sure.

I think the S3 has a faster screen redraw, but the Rage2 + DVD will have overall better image quality and will slightly enhance DVD playback.

Switch to the ATI. 🙂

toss teh ViRge in the trash where it belongs. those are 3Decelarators

then slap 2 voodoo2s onto that rage2 and run them in SLI and see a huge differance

Psshhhh... NEITHER of these cards are even to be CONSIDERED for 3D, and neither performs any better than the other. (Though technically speaking, the RageII might actually get 100 3D marks vs. 50.) 😛

These cards are to be considered for 2D desktop and video playback ONLY.
