WHats an "ATI" video card...

ATI video card is a video card from ati, they now have other companies making cards with their chipset on it but going to ATI should have a complete list of their cards.

Most are called: radeon, rage, but they do have some others.
When you put it in your machine and cut your computer on, it should tell you your video card at the first screen that comes up. If you miss it, then it should be under device manager.

 
ATI is a brand of video card.
Usually you can tell by the box they come in or by the chip on the actual video card..it will normally be branded ATI.
 
No nvidia is the counterpart of ati, they are the two leading forces in the pc video chipset market.

The difference is somewhat like AMD and Intel. Or Ford and GM.
