What's a wife beater?

AKA "Athletic T-shirt." You know, the "sleeveless tank top undershirt?" They call those "Wife Beater" shirts as typical white-trailer-trash mean wear them.

Jesus man. First of all Jason kidd beat his wife. So that's funny. Cuz i hate jason kidd. I want to tie him down and let his big headed son beat him.

Anyhow, a wife beater is a friggen Tank top undershirt. What is so hard to understand.

Its a NICKNAMe because it's the type of shirt you see all the Wife beating hicks on Cops wearing, if they're wearing a shirt at all, and it's not a ratty Tshirt with a nascar logo or a wrestler on it.

My friend from Chicago made fun of me for wearing a TANK TOP. He called them wife beaters. It's a sleeveless shirt and yes it helps me cool off while walking around in 90-degree weather. What's the big deal ? It's a shirt.

Picture Joe White Trash driving around in his pickup truck wearing one of those shirts... he just looks like he probably beats his wife. 🙂 I really have no idea.
