I use NewsBin which is great to download stuff. If I just want to read some posts then I use OE though.

I use Forte agent. It's good for reading posts.

Being on dialup, I don't grab too many binaries but when I had DSL I used Newsbin. It works well.

The best for non-binary usage is WinVN -- it's a rather old program but is a rare example of non-bloatware (binary dates back to 486 days) being able to do a task that has changed very little in a simple efficient way.

Tried them all, and found that Forte Agent is best for browsing and stuff, and NewsBinPro is unmatched for large binary downloads.
I use newzbin and binnews for locating files too :)

Agent 1.92 handles yENC encoded files and has an 8 gig database size...now that's a lot of pr0n!!!!!
