I am looking for a decent tv tuner card to watch tv on my monitor. I don't really need a remote, though it would be cool. I want to be able to watch full screen or in a small window and take snapshots of many channels at once.

What does everyone use? Thanks.

Hauppauge(spelling?) makes a nice variety of tv tuners. I have the wintv card and it works great for the stuff you mentioned.

I am going to look into it more soon, I just thought I would get a basic first impression of what people liked on here. I have heard of Hauppage I think, thanks for your comments.

I have a Hauppauge WinTV Theater and it is a pretty good card. Its got all the bells and whistles one would want and the picture quality is excellent as long as you read the instruction manual and set it to DirectDraw layer.

The US version usually runs around 127 bucks but I picked up the Canadian version which is exactly the same but with French on the box for 99 bucks offa buy.com. Hauppauge WinTV Theater model 702 (Canadian).
