What's a good temp for my CPU/System?

Hey guys, I just built my first comp (woohoo)! It has been running fine for the last couple of days. Here is my system:

AMD 64 3000+ CPU (Retail Heatsink/Fan)
MSI Mobo K8M Neo-V (with onboard video/audio)
512 Ram (Corsair - pc3200)
Sony DVD RW Drive
Seagate 160 Gig ATA HD
PSU 420 Watt

What is the ideal temps for the CPU?
What is the ideal temps for the System?

I'm getting these readings:
CPU Temp: 114 F
System Temp: 93 F

sounds good.

as long as cpu not under load is under 50, then you are doing ok.
if you are worried about the temps, the hdd is the next hottest item to deal with

Those are pretty good.

Also as an FYI, most people refer to there hardware temperatures in Celsius. Not a big deal, but just something to keep in mind.

CPU Temp: 45C
System Temp: 34C

Room temperature seems to effect the processor and m/b temperature greatly. This morning I had the Asus probe alarm go off because the CPU temps hit 120F idle. My room was hot, but I didn't link it to affecting the computer until shutting down and rebooting in 10 minutes, then went into the BIOs and got the HW readings off the die (still 110F for the processor, 95F for the m/b). After opening the window, in 15 minutes the system was right back to it's normal temp of 89F processor and 80F m/b idle .

So ducting air from a cooler source maybe a cheaper way to cool a system (either through the window in winter, or A/C duct during summer). 30F drop is nothing to sneeze at in temp control, and requires no fancy HW (maybe a jerry rigged system with common A/C duct ware hooked to the front fan intake).

Just a heads up in case you're interested.

Uhhh... might as well just stick my pc in the fridge. Thanks for the advice though.

^lol, my Cpu is around 33 C according to asus probe.

I found Asus Probe being 10F less than the on die temps. Even the baybus temp gauge (on the headsink) would read higher.
