when you run though make sure you keep the knife out. Atleast for the few safe seconds at the begining of a round. Youll get there faster and maybe get the jump on them.

S&W has a good selection of quality knives. You may also want to look @ some Kershaw brand ones.

Benchmade has always been my favorite tac brand. I used to work for a company that sold Benchmade, SOG, K-Bar, Cold Steel, Kershaw, S&W, etc, to cops, and when doing a side-by-side comparison, the quality difference in the benchmade was more than obvious.

Digging slivers out of my hands, threatening my sister's date's manhood pending her safe return, etc.

I actually use a SOG Mini Pup and Tigershark as my dive knives.

I'm sick of wannabe military commandos calling things "tactical". Head down to your local armed forces recruiting office and your friendly recruiter will be happy to get you on the path to ownership of a "tactical" knife.

thanks for the replies

i'm liking the looks of this one
the benchmade ones look and sound great, but i don't think i can the one i want

as far as uses, its going to be my everyday carry
does it need to be tactical, nah - i just threw that word in to define the basic style of knife i want

If you like tanto blades, look at the CRKT KISS. I had one that I took the clip off, making it less than .5cm thick. Fits great in a pocket so it's likely to be there when you need it. I have one of the Gerbers with the black blade, but I never carry it around because of how thick it is.

You will never use it for anything other then cutting open boxes... ever. Not once will you ever tell yourself "thank god I had my tactical knife on me or I'd be screwed" unless it involves getting the plastic off the outside of a toilet paper 4-pack. "its just a cool thing to have" is the most retarded reason I've ever heard to spend 60 bucks.

Don't waste your money.
