I've been doing the 5x5 workout plan maybe once or twice a week depending on my work schedule, and one thing I have not been doing is stretching, and I probably should.

What's a good stretching routine to follow that pairs up well with the 5x5 workouts, if any? Did not find too much specific on Google, just a lot of different general stretches, so I could go with those, but figured I'd ask what is recommended as I imagine the workout you do affects the stretches you should do.

Or is it really as simple as just performing the exercises with lower weights to warm up?

I would do some light dynamic stretching beforehand.

Then static afterward:

Upper body:
-Swiss ball pec stretch with arms out stretched (30secs)
-Lat stretch grabbing something (like the rack) where you lean back with 1 arm extended (30sec per arm)
-Overhead tri stretch where you pull the elbow back a bit using your other arm (30 sec per arm)
-Elbow flexor stretch with arm straightened out, palms facing forward and fingers pointing to the ground with other hand pulling fingers back. 30 sec per arm.

Lower body:
-Kneeling heel to butt stretch where you are kneeling with one leg and toe touching the wall. Hand on the same side is touching the wall for support. The other arm is pulling the top of your shoe (toe area), you should feel it in your quads. 30sec per leg.
-Kneeling groin stretch. Get on all fours and sit back while spreading knees to where your thighs should feel a good stretch. Do 30-60sec.
-Band hammy stretch if you have a band. You can go 3 ways on these using 1 leg. Do right, center, and left. 10sec per stretch and then switch legs.
-Kneeling glute stretch. Keep neutral spine on all fours and put the top of one foot behind the other leg's knee. Sit back to the side of the foot behind the knee (so if it's your right foot behind left knee, sit back to the right into the hip). Do 30sec per leg.

Thanks, do you have links to diagram images of videos of how to do those? I tend to get hung up on most of the terminology in working out, it's easier to just look at pictures. :p Some of those I think I know what they are though.
